Royal Family silent on social media as Meghan celebrates birthday

The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 42nd birthday on Friday but did not receive any well wishes from the Royal Family on social media.

The Royal Family‘s official account on X, formerly known as Twitter, did not feature any celebratory messages for Meghan for the second year in a row.

William and Kate did not post on their official X account either, but had posted a photo of Meghan last year, wishing her a happy birthday – which divided opinion on the website at the time.

The Duchess of Sussex along with husband Harry stepped back as senior working members of the Royal Family in 2020, moving to California for personal and financial freedom.

Late last year, the Duke of Sussex revealed his troubled relationship with the Royal Family in a Netflix special and his autobiography Spare, but attended the King’s coronation in May – with Meghan opting to remain in the US.
